Also known as finished hex nuts, Hex nuts come in ASTM A563-A and are compatible with various low carbon steel bolts including ASTM A307, SAE grade 2, ASTM F1554 grade 36, and AASHTO M183. Moreover, SAE Grade 5 & Grade 8 nuts are available in finished pattern as well. As hot-dip galvanizing generally adds 2.2 - 5 mils thickness to a fastener’s threaded portion, our galvanized hex nuts get tapped oversize so as to balance the bolts’ corrosion resistant coating.
