To acquire a smooth surface, countersunk bolts are used. The most common applications of these bolts include walkways, bridge decking, and railing.
Manufacturing
Baseline Bolt manufactures quality countersunk bolts ranging from diameter 1/2″ through 1-1/2″ in most of the ASTM, AASHTO & SAE specifications including but not limited to A307 Grade A, A449 & Grade 8. These bolts possess a head angle of nearly 80 degrees. They are available with & without a slot provided in the head. It is possible to create special tooling to produce nonstandard bolt heads or head dimensions with the name and/or logo of your company.
Standard Thread Length
Bolt lengths ≤ 6″: Thread length = (2 X diameter) + 1/4″
Bolt lengths > 6″: Thread length = (2 X diameter) + 1/2″
Note: Most stock hex bolts longer than 12″ in length will have 6″ of thread.
